God brought Pastor Lehman and his family from Brighton, CO to become the senior pastor of MVBT.

God guides Pastor Smith and his family to resign as senior pastor of MVBT.

After 15 years of faithful service at MVBT, God directed Pastor Fennell to missions work with Worldview Ministries.

Through years of hard work and dedication, TCA’s first graduating class arrived.

The construction was completed and the first service was held in the new facilities on December 11, 2011

Through God’s miraculous guidance, the church received a donation of land on Floralwood Dr. The land included a building and the vison was set for the current property.

Under the leadership of Pastor Fennell, God led the church to establish a school to train the next generation for Jesus Christ, both spiritually and academically.

The building project was in the books and the church began meeting at the new facility on March 21, 2002.

Additional growth challenges pushed the MVBT members to a new level of faith as they stepped out and began a substantial building project of the property on Yauger Road.

God providentially guided Pastor Bill Fennell to become the second pastor of Mount Vernon Baptist Temple. Under the leadership of Pastor Fennell, the church continued to grow and see God’s hand of blessing.

As God continued to bless His church, the need for additional space became evident. The church stepped out by faith to purchase a new facility on Yauger Road.

On February 10, 1996, God led His newly established church to purchase their first building at 56 Mansfield Road. The church continues to grow as they are faithful to follow the Lord’s command to go and preach the Gospel.

The beginning of Mount Vernon Baptist Temple has been established. A small group of people began meeting in the basement of the local YMCA on November 6, 1994. From this humble beginning, God would work miraculously through the faith of His children.
