Breaking Through Pride

Bible Passage: Romans 12:9-21

Pride is an area of our lives that every one of us struggles with continually and regularly. It is a bond that easily besets everyone. If you just disagreed with my statement, you proved it by a prideful attitude.
We are able to identify pride in others with relative ease, but struggle to identify it in our own lives. Pride: Excessively positive self-image leading to disdainful behavior towards God and others.

Pride refers to an unwarranted attitude of confidence. While pride can have a positive connotation of self-worth or boasting, it is often used in Scripture to refer to an unhealthy elevated view of one’s self, abilities, or possessions.
