Consider Your Ways, Part 2
Bible Passage: Haggai 1:1-15
Last week we began our series through the book of Haggai. Haggai is one of three prophets called of God to proclaim His Word to the remnant that has returned from the Babylonian Captivity to Jerusalem. The purpose of the return was to build the Temple at Jerusalem. We saw last week how because of challenges that arose, the people stopped working on the Temple after the foundation was laid. It has been almost 20 years since the foundation was laid and Haggai comes to stir up the people to specifically “Consider their ways.” He says this twice in his opening message.
We saw how Haggai has challenged the people to Consider the Lord in verse 1, to Consider Whose They Are in verse 2, and to Consider Their Priorities in verses 3-5 last week. Today, we are going to see one final consideration Haggai calls the people to as well as the results of his message.
