Last week we saw the incredible account of an entire city of Samaritans who believe on Jesus as Christ. This was the first time Jesus openly declared that He is the Messiah. It is even more incredible when you remember that He declared this truth to Samaritans first and not the Jews.

After two days of teaching and preaching in Sychar, Jesus departs and continues his journey north from Jerusalem through Samaria into the region of Galilee. Though all within Roman rule, Galilee would be like a completely new country. The region of Galilee would be where Jesus establishes his home base and efforts.
