Paul has finished up his discussion on putting off the old man, which is corrupt after the flesh, and putting on the new man which is renewed in Christ Jesus. He has given us some powerful thoughts about how we are to live as individuals in this world today.
Don’t forget those thoughts. Don’t forget the teaching of the Word of God. We don’t just meet here to grow in knowledge, but also grow in grace. We learn the Word of God and how to live the Word of God in our lives. This is vital.
After Paul addresses individual believers, he turns his attention to relationships of marriages, families, and work. Paul begins this section of the letter to the Colossians with marital responsibilities of both the wife and the husband.
